In the context of the ongoing project of the 3D documentation of Les Immatériaux, the Art Historians Andreas Broeckmann and Francesca Gallo talk in depth about this pioneering exhibition which took place at the Centre Pompidou in 1985. All the following aspects, which are key to understand its historical importance, are discussed: the public reception, the relationship between visual arts, science and new technologies, the groundbreaking scenography, the importance of sound and the collective curatorial thinking.
